BOOK LAUNCH: My Memoir My Text

On Thursday, 10th of December, 2020, an history was made in Ogun State Co-operative Federation Limited (OGSCOFED) when the Sendforth and Retirement party of Mrs. Jemilat Olawanle Bisiriyu, the Executive Secretary of OGSCOFED Limited was held and a Book was launched, the title of the book is “MY MEMOIR MY TEXT”, written by Chief (Mrs.) Jemilat Olawanle Bisiriyu JP.

The Book features Seven (7) expository packed Chapters that comes with a range of experiences, knowledge and resources that can assist the Cooperative leaders, members, Administrative Managers and the regulatory officials in the running of Ogun State Co-operatives.

This book is practical, highly-educative and inspiring.

In Chapter One of the book, the author wrote about her Thirty-five (35) years of active service in OGSCOFED Limited, she said and I quote “to work vigorously for Thirty – Five (35) years in Co-operative Movement of Ogun State, it has been God that assisted me to this level. I can state it categorically that my years in service especially the 23yrs of running the organization as Executive Secretary was very interesting, at the same time tormenting, brain tasking that demanded lot of tolerance and perseverance.”

The author wrote about her working experience as a female worker of OGSCOFED Limited, the sacrifice made as female staff and her experiences as Cooperative Auditor and the lesson to learn therefrom.

The author also wrote about the Board of Directors of Ogun State Cooperative Federation Limited (OGSCOFED) since 2013 to 2021, the South West Cooperative Leaders and Women in Cooperative; there contributions to the growth and development of Cooperatives in Ogun State, South West and the whole Nation.

In the second part of the book, there were seminar papers delivered by the author which she tagged: MY TEXT: this include the influence of cooperative on marriage institutions as it affects moral and social obligations; and technical but unethical practice in cooperative loan administration: realization of cooperative strengths and weaknesses.

The book will be available for purchase on Amazon, OGSCOFED Head Office, OGSCOFED website and at all major Cooperative Area Offices in Ogun State, Nigeria.

This is the second book authored by Mrs. J. Ola Bisiriyu, but there is so much excitement about this book, maybe because the author presents more insights into the workings of OGSCOFED Limited, her cooperative experience with Cooperative leaders in the State etc. The beauty of this, is her intention to launch the book on the day of her sendforth.

The previous book by Mrs. J. Ola Bisiriyu: COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT AND OGSCOFED: Ours Success Story shares the OGSCOFED Limited Background, administrative Branches, the history of OGSCOFED Limited and the collective achievements of Asiwaju N. E. A. Osisanya led administration, is still available for sale.
